Suncoast Humane Society will be hosting a low-cost vaccination and microchip clinic at their North Port thrift store, located at 14942 Tamiami Trail in the North Port Place Plaza, on Saturday, September 21 from 10 AM – 2 PM.
Staff veterinarian Dr. Laurie Putnam and animal care technicians from Suncoast Humane Society will be there to administer vaccinations, give heartworm tests, and microchip cats and dogs. No appointment is necessary. Microchips cost $25, and rabies, bordetella, distemper, and feline distemper vaccines cost only $10 each. Leptospirosis and feline leukemia vaccines cost $14. Heartworm tests cost only $15.
“We encourage pet owners to keep their pets safe and protected against common diseases,” says Director of Operations, Cheryl Casey. “Holding the clinic on a Saturday and in North Port will hopefully enable more people in the community to vaccinate and microchip their pets at a low cost.”
