The strength and success of the Englewood-Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce results from the hard work of our committee volunteers. The total number of volunteers involved this past year numbered over 450. Imagine that many business people giving generously of their time every month to fulfill the diverse and many goals of our Chamber. Hats off to these extraordinary people! You may wish to join this group in the coming year and all are welcome. Just take a look at the following committees and contact either Chamber staff or the chairman as listed. Being an active member simply adds value to your Chamber membership in important areas such as access to critical information, representation, marketing assistance, cost cutting and networking. Please take a moment to review the following opportunities and plan to take part in shaping your Chamber and community.

Membership Development & Retention
This dynamic committee has lively discussions and share responsibilities with the intention of always learning something new! They constantly look to add value to the membership; concentrate on retention using a plan to personally contact targeted members, and planning Operation Thank You; develop and enhance exciting networking opportunities. You will enjoy the MC if you like helping people, and business, to succeed!
The Ambassadors help at registration at events, contacts members and prospects and serve as a link to the membership.

Leadership Englewood
A program to better acquaint members with the inner workings of the community and help prepare them for leadership in the Chamber and the community. The selection process takes place in the fall and the class selected particiaptes in a year-long program. Each year's class takes on a project toa dd value to the community.

Operation Thank You
This program concentrates on communicating with existing members and thanking them for their participation as well as getting their feed-vback for improving the Chamber.

Government Relations
GRC is comprised of members representing business, financial institutions, education, utilities, real estate, economic development, legislation and more! They study key issues and make position recommendations to the Board of Directors. Responsible for developing the political and public positions of the Chamber, you can make a real difference in the community by becoming involved in the GRC.

Tourism Development
TDC works with regional partners to develop new target markets. This year they will investigate how to maximize the opportunities for the Englewood-Cape Haze Area. If you believe your business benefits from tourism and relies on new consumers, then this committee is for you!

Facility Planning & Funding
Divided into 3 subcommittees: Finance, Fund Raising, and Design & Function. If you like the challenge of fund raising, or crunching numbers, or designing a chamber for future generations, then you can receive personal satisfaction from this committee!

Network at Noon
Hosted monthly by member restaurants, NAN is on the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm. You can assist by bringing equipment from the Chamber, identifying programs, and greeting new members.

Business Card Exchange
These networking gatherings are hosted once or twice a month by member businesses from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p..m.on nesday. Help is always needed to bring equipment from the Chamber, and greet and identify new members.

EXPO 2010
The annual EXPO is the largest trade show in our community and provides a premier showcase for business to present their goods and services to the residents. Join this dynamic committee if you are interested in organization of events.
